Coaching provides you the opportunity to raise awareness, examine choices, and create possibility. As a coach, my role is to help you connect these threads by listening deeply, reflecting intently, and providing a safe environment for exploration. Unlike consulting, I don't have the answers. Unlike teaching, I'm not dictating the curriculum. You are the one in the back of the boat steering and guiding yourself.

A note from Mark

I recently obtained a certificate in Coaching Foundations from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University. Currently, I am in the process of earning a Diploma in Executive Coaching from the same esteemed institution, which I will complete in April 2025. Throughout my extensive career spanning over 25 years, I have placed a strong emphasis on classroom teaching, servant-leadership, and the principles of emotional intelligence. I firmly believe that the Arts and Humanities play a vital role in shaping my worldview and enhancing my professional practice. Additionally, I am committed to adhering to the ethical standards and best coaching practices as set forth by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

“Mark, you clearly have mastery over the subject matter, and your presentation style prompting the audience for continual feedback/input on the subjects being discussed helped make it an engaging hour-long conversation! Great job, and thanks for helping to emphasize the importance of [these] concepts with our teammates!”

Haley Bankey, Former Executive Director, Gathering of Leaders

"I have worked with Mark since 2018 in his capacities as a large group conference facilitator and most recently as a leadership and visioning facilitator for my non-profit organization's board of directors. His depth of knowledge around emotional intelligence and group dynamics make him an excellent resource, and his ability to hold the space during difficult conversations is a gift. I look forward to working with him in the future."

Patrick M., Retired Executive & Senior Advisor

“Mark is a thoughtful listener, an insightful observer, and an exceptional coach. He has a natural ability to ask the right questions, challenge perspectives, and guide meaningful reflection. His approachable and kind demeanor creates a safe and supportive space for growth, making him a trusted partner in any coaching journey.”

Matthew Peters, Attorney & Strategic Business Advisor

“I had the opportunity to be executive coached by Mark several times through an Emory coaching program and was immediately struck by his presence, thoughtfulness, and ability to ask powerful, clarifying questions that sparked meaningful insight. He creates a grounded, judgment-free space that encourages deep reflection and forward momentum. Mark’s natural intuition, paired with a strong foundation in coaching principles, makes him someone I’d confidently recommend to anyone seeking personal or professional growth.”

Sandi High, GPHR, Executive HR Coach

“I was fortunate to have an opportunity to receive coaching from Mark. Mark is highly skilled in generous listening, insightful questions/technique that allows space for clients to explore possibilities and move beyond mental blocks that may leave one feeling stuck. My experience with Mark unlocked new spaces that I am now able to contemplate in more of an unconstrained way. I am thankful to have met Mark and wish him the best in his continued endeavors.”
